iPhone Programming For Windows – New 2.0 Release of DragonFireSDK(0)
Zimusoft, Inc. has released version 2.0 of its popular DragonFireSDK iPhone Library for Windows which has already enabled thousands of Windows developers to write iPhone apps in C and C++ without ever leaving Microsoft’s familiar Visual Studio development environment. The product provides developers with a Windows on-screen iPhone Simulator that will run the apps they create, allowing them to test their iPhone apps even if they don’t own an iPhone! Before DragonFireSDK, developing iPhone apps required that a programmer buy a Mac, learn the Objective-C language and begin a 6 month voyage to writing an iPhone app that should have been done in 6 weeks! “Our market is obviously Windows programmers – most of them weekend warriors who want to feed the insatiable appetite that millions of iPhone owners have for apps,” said Dave Edwards, Zimusoft’s Software Architect. “Windows programmers by day are iPhone owners – and they want to become iPhone programmers by night. No doubt, the iPhone is the most exciting new wireless device we have ever seen – we all want to program it!” DragonFireSDK has almost no learning curve for C/C++ programmers. A simple new idea for a game can be brought to life in a couple of weeks in many cases. The iPhone is a playground for programmers – so it’s fun, but it’s also a great resume item that can demonstrate initiative and the ability to grasp new technologies to future employers. Yes, the leading iPhone/iPad SDK for Windows just got better! The new 2.0 release of DragonFireSDK is available for both the iPhone and iPad. Notably, it now allows programmers easy access to the Box2D Physics library (by Erin Catto) which makes it easy to create games like the immensely popular “Angry Birds” (by Rovio). In addition, there is support for SQLite, In App Purchase, Game Center (high scores) and iAds. Other fundamental features include View Containers (of containers), Multi-line Edit, Internet Data Transfer, Text Editing, Image Control, GPS, Accelerometer, Camera, Multi-touch, Vibrate, Draw, File IO, Buttons, Bitmaps and Sounds. Everything you need is included to create a high-speed native iPhone or iPad app. Users who bought DragonFireSDK 1.4 in the last 90 days can get the update for free by emailing support(at)zimusoft(dot)com. Others can upgrade for only $49.95. New users can choose the iPhone or iPad DragonFireSDK for only $99.95 or $149.95 for both. “Our internal motto is ‘Code Can Be Beautiful’ and I believe we have created the most straight-forward API ever introduced,” said Tim Sommers, Zimusoft Sr. Software Engineer. “Colleges are using our product to teach programming, because the code is so readable and the learning curve so minimal. Even animating images only requires a few lines of code. Look for my sample soon to be released at CodeProject.com” The Zimusoft development team members are simulation specialists. DragonFireSDK is the company’s iPhone development library for native iPhone and iPad apps written in Windows. UmbrellaSDK is the company’s cloud-based mobile app development platform that includes Android apps and runs inside a browser! DragonFireSDK has been featured in SDTimes and was selected by Dr. Dobbs for the Mobile Technology Jolt Award. |

Any Website Now Can Get Photo Uploads From iPhone Users with No iPhone Development(0) Each mobile website developer who ever tried to create a website for iPhone users knows that Apple did not provide any built-in upload facilities. No matter that they are experts only in PHP or, say, ASP.NET, they had to learn new programming technology and get new skills in creating mobile apps. Aurigma releases new product called Aurigma Up which eliminates this issue. Now to add upload functionality to an iPhone website, the developer inserts a few lines of code in their familiar environment (PHP, ASP.NET, or any other). Aurigma’s uploader app is automatically launched from a web page and when upload completes, the user is brought back to the browser. With only web development efforts developers will provide their users with the same familiar upload experience as if they upload from a regular PC. Initial Aurigma Up app version was submitted to iTunes in Apr 2011 and received positive responses from early adopters. “I love the fact we can integrate this into our sites and provide a solution for iPhones.” – says Gregory Campbell from ZygTech, who already use Aurigma Up with two websites. – “Since we already pay for the Image Uploader products I am thrilled to see this is free.” In Sep 2011 Aurigma turned this app to a full-fledged mobile upload SDK. Now website developers have code examples and HTML code generator. The app became multilingual and therefore available to international developers – it was translated to 16 different languages besides of English. “We want our upload solution to be available on any platforms and our iPhone uploader is a first step to the mobile platform”, said Dmitry Sevostyanov, Aurigma’s CTO, “Of course we are not going to limit ourselves with iPhones – Android, iPad and WP7 versions are on our roadmap as well”. |

Jot!, the Highest-Rated Paid iPad Whiteboard App, Launches New Real-Time Collaborative Whiteboard(0) At Tabula Rasa, we think a great whiteboard is the fastest and simplest way to make an idea real. So, we married the ease of use of a traditional whiteboard with the power of the iPad and iPhone to create a fast, robust whiteboard that you can access anywhere at anytime. The result is Jot! – the highest-rated paid whiteboard app in the Apple App Store with an average review of 4.5 out of 5 stars and over one hundred thousand downloads for Jot! and its sister app, Jot! Free.
Now, Tabula Rasa introduces Jot! Live Sharing, a way for Jot users to collaborate on a shared whiteboard in real-time over the Internet with their iPad. Using Jot! by yourself is great way to record and communicate your ideas. But something special happens when you can collaborate immediately with someone far away. Now, collaborators of all types – teachers, programmers, inventors, builders, or parents – can share ideas using Jot! in real-time.
“Real-time collaboration has always been a goal of ours. But we wanted to make sure that the core whiteboarding features of Jot! as a standalone app were robust enough first. Now that we’re on our 4th update since we launched Jot! in June 2010, we’ve added a simple way to remotely work on a whiteboard with others in real-time to share and improve ideas,” says Nick Geiger, co-founder of Tabula Rasa. Co-founder, Geoffrey Nix adds: “We think apps should be empowering. They should be simple and fun enough for a child to use. Users should quickly explore and flesh out their ideas rather than wander through endless app menus and features. We believe that technology should simplify people’s lives, not make it more complicated.” For more information, you can find us at http://tabularasalabs.com or visit our page on the Apple iPad app store at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/jot/id376133340?mt=8 . You can also try out the Jot! Free version of the app for the iPad or try out Jot! for the iPhone. |

iPhone Outstanding Repair Warranty Available Now(0)
Mission Repair has unleashed a brand new program that is blowing the doors off of the competition. They are now including “Got Repair” benefits on most of their repair services which costs nothing to the customer when they have their iPhone repaired.
Then if the customer cracks the screen on the iPhone anytime in the future, they can send it back to Mission Repair for replacement again under the “Got Repair” program. Customers will never pay full price for the same iPhone Repair again. Most repair centers offer warranties, and some even offer lifetime warranties. These are fantastic benefits, however if customers crack, drop or damage the screen again, those other repair centers will NOT repair it again for less than full price. Not at Mission Repair. Their exclusive “Got Repair” benefits are for the life of the device, and customers can use the benefit as many times as necessary. . .It’s the reason that Mission Repair is the Intelligent Choice. Without the added “Got Repair” benefit, other services seem unreasonable. |
