Words With Friends, Move Over – Digital Watchdog’s iPhone® Compatible DVR Is The New App In Town(0)
From playing games with friends to planning tonight’s dinner, smartphones have become an integral part of life – and now, a vital component of home and business security. Smartphone compatible DVRs, like Digital Watchdog’s WMAX DVRs, have increased in popularity, reports iPhone® compatible DVRs retailer, SpyTown.com. The security camera experts at SpyTown.com noted Digital Watchdog’s emphasis on embracing smartphone technology, with the company having recently released an update to their popular “DW VMAX” iPhone® app, allowing Digital Watchdog VMAX, VMAX480, VMAXFlex, and Blackjack NVR owners to remotely access and control their security feeds right through the iPhone® app. The update brought with it with multiple screen layouts, drag-and-drop screens to allow users better control over their display, enhanced network stability, and a fix to prevent the app from crashing. According to the FBI, a home is broken into every 13 seconds in the United States, and yet only 17% of homes have security systems. iPhone® compatible DVRs, like the Digital Watchdog VMAX, can promote greater home owner ease in installing and controlling security equipment. “So many of our customers come to us not before, but after their home has been robbed. They say that they thought it would never happen to them, or they didn’t have time to set up and monitor a security system. iPhone® DVRs have helped the average home owner embrace security systems and have more user-friendly controls through their phone in using the app,” says Howard Geschwind, SpyTown.com Sales Director. Digital Watchdog VMAX DVRs are both iPhone® and Blackberry® compatible, with the company interested in enhancing the usability of their apps, as seen through their recent iPhone® app release which concentrated on the ease of the app’s display. Visit SpyTown.com to learn more about innovative smartphone compatible Digital Watchdog VMAX DVRs. |

Introducing The Nex Flow™ Frigid-x™ Tool Cooler(0)
The Nex Flow™ Frigid-X™ Vortex Tube Tool Cooling System is used in dry machining applications and can often replace hazardous “mist coolants” in machine operations. The vortex tube operated system utilizes a stainless steel vortex tube and stainless overall construction which takes compressed air from a small amount of ordinary compressed air and splits it into a hot stream and a cold stream. The cold end is about 50 degrees F. (28 degrees C) below supply air temperature and is used to “cool” the cutting tool and part while machining. There is no messy coolant, no hazardous mist, no residue and is low in cost. Quality of the part can be improved and output can be increased significantly more than offsetting air costs. There are no moving parts, no electricity and essentially maintenance free in operation. Has a strong Magnetic Base to secure the unit to the machine. Advantages include: The Nex Flow™ Frigid-X™ Vortex Tube Tool Cooling System is superior using solid, stainless steel construction for long life compared to many flimsy aluminum units on the market. And yet, it is lower in cost while better in design. |

New Free iPhone App from Callvine® Delivers Crystal Clear HD Voice Conferencing – Callvine Makes Meetings Easy, More Efficient through Superior Sound, Live Call Controls(0)
iPhone users can now enjoy crystal clear, high-definition audio conferencing and superior call control with Callvine’s new free HD Voice Conferencing app and service that’s easy to use, flexible, and dependable. The Austin-based service provider’s groundbreaking app delivers HD Voice over WiFi together with comprehensive business-class features based on TurboBridge’s proven conferencing platform. “With the increased use of mobile phones on conference calls, sound quality has truly taken a beating, making many calls unintelligible and inefficient,” says Rudy Prince, Callvine’s CEO/Founder. “Now wherever there is good quality WiFi, iPhone users can conference with natural and vibrant sound, conveying more of the subtleties of the human voice. Within buildings and homes, WiFi connections also avoid the annoyance of dropped calls while eliminating the use of mobile minutes and international dialing charges.” “Today, high-definition audio conferencing is enjoyed in many conference rooms through VoIP conference phones,” adds Prince. “Utilizing TurboBridge’s HD conferencing technology – already being used by communications industry leaders such as Broadvox® and LogMeIn® – we’re able to bring unparalleled HD audio quality, live conference controls, and free HD recordings to the iPhone. There’s also less wasted time by synchronizing meeting start times with push alerts while the conference host can further manage call quality by instantly muting noisy connections from the app’s dashboard.” Industry leaders recognize Callvine’s advancement in teleconferencing. Steve Davis, Sr. VP Technology & Operations at HomeAway® adds, “At HomeAway, we’ve always found high-definition audio makes our meetings much more productive and efficient and we became an early customer of TurboBridge. With Callvine bringing this technology and HD Voice to the iPhone, the superior sound quality is no longer limited to conference rooms but can be used from anywhere.” Ken Ford, former CEO of Global Conference PartnersTM, parent of FreeConference.com, states, “By bringing mobility and HD Voice to iPhones, Callvine represents the next generation of free conferencing. While there are many iPhone business apps available, Callvine fills a unique void in the conferencing market through its ease-of-use, the combination of clear HD Voice with traditional telephone dial-ins, and live call controls.” To support its HD Voice services, Callvine implemented the industry-standard G722.1 wideband codec licensed from Polycom®, which doubles the frequency range the ear receives. As Polycom describes HD Voice, it is similar to “switching from AM radio to CD-quality audio.” The codec is also highly efficient, using approximately the same amount of data as a Skype or Viber call. Callvine’s service also supports HD Voice from conference phones – tying together high-definition audio from iPhones to conference rooms – by connecting VoIP phones to @sip.callvine.com. The Callvine app and service is free for up to 10 participants on a conference call and up to four hours of conferencing each month. Group texting and creating and managing groups is always free and simplified through the use of the iPhone’s Messages app – keeping all texts and replies in one location. In-App upgrades will be offered later this quarter (Q1 2012) for increased numbers of conference participants and additional usage. Callvine was formed in 2011, focusing on mobile unified communications beginning with advanced conferencing services. CEO Prince is a veteran entrepreneur and technology executive who founded eFax.com and served as its CEO for 12 years, growing the company to become the undisputed leader in Internet faxing. He has also led companies in voice processing technologies, Linux-based mobile software, WiFi services, and retail shopping assistants. Callvine’s Advisory Board includes Steve Davis, Sr. VP Technology & Operations at HomeAway, Ken Ford, former CEO of Global Conference Partners (the company behind freeconference.com), and Alec Robinson, CEO/Co-founder of MobiTech 3000, creator of the leading iPhone scanner app, JotNot. Callvine’s conferencing partner, TurboBridge, is an enhanced information provider owned and operated by Advanced Communications Solutions, which was founded in 2007. TurboBridge previously announced licensing its conferencing platform to Broadvox, a worldwide leader in providing integrated managed VoIP services and hosted Unified Communications to SMB, Enterprise, and carrier customers. Additionally, LogMeIn uses TurboBridge for the audio conferencing portion of their join.me service offering. Callvine, iPhone, TurboBridge, HomeAway, Polycom, JotNot, Broadvox, LogMeIn, join.me, Skype and Viber are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners in the United States and other countries. |

Free Medical Marijuana App from Doobons.com Now in iTunes(0) As more people own smartphones, it is important to create mobile marketing apps that focus on three key principles: immediacy, simplicity and context, according to a new research report by Forrester. With this in mind, Doobons.com has launched its new iPhone/iPod/iPad app as a discreet and easy way for patients to instantly locate nearby medical marijuana dispensaries and other resources. The easy-to-use medical marijuana app is already earning rave reviews from users, and has a five-star rating—the highest rating available in iTunes. The Doobons.com website was just launched in November 2011 as a way to simplify online searches for medical cannabis resources and make medical cannabis approachable to all adults, even those with no previous experience with the medical marijuana industry. As a smartphone app, Doobons offers an even more convenient, on-the-go tool. “Mobile apps are a necessity—people are always on the go and not in front of their laptop,” said John, founder of Doobons.com. “We launched the app 10 days ago, and without even marketing it, over a hundred people have downloaded it—and the number of daily downloads is growing fast.” The Doobons app’s simple interface allows users to quickly find resources like dispensaries, doctors, lawyers, delivery services and discounts in the immediate area. Users can either allow their device to use geolocation to pull up medical marijuana resources nearby, or search by city name or zip code and customize the type of search results in the settings tab. Users can also choose to have the app display search results as icons on a Google map or as a list. A single click on a location reveals contact information and directions to the business. The simplicity and usefulness of these features make the app highly recommended by users, who describe it as “easy to use” and “extremely handy.” Doobons.com was designed to be convenient and to appeal to everyone, including those who are new to the world of medical cannabis. While most of today’s online medical marijuana directories are designed for patients who already know at least something about using medical marijuana, Doobons.com is designed to be user friendly for patients of all ages and experience levels. Doobons.com is more than just another online medical marijuana directory. The site’s News, Resource, and Blog pages provide valuable information and advice for patients and caregivers. The information posted helps new patients learn about the ins and outs of the world of medical marijuana, and existing patients stay abreast of developments. The five-star-rated Doobons app is now available for free on the iTunes app store for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad that runs on iOS 4.3 or later.
