Now when publishers share ThingLink interactive images to Facebook, viewers can “touch” them to experience the content inside the image — without leaving Timeline.

ThingLink’s proprietary, patent-pending web-based solution allows publishers to create, tag and share any image, in any environment, quickly and easily. ThingLink allows content producers to better understand how their images are being used by consumers on the different social media platforms, both in terms of interactions with the image as well as a wide range of social behaviors.

Publishers and individuals can now use ThingLink to transform static images on Facebook Timeline into a discovery experience — with music and video players, social links and brand content that appear inside an image when it is “touched.” Rich media tags from services like Youtube, Vimeo, Instagram, Imgur, Flickr, and Twitter are supported from the beginning, and support for custom third-party tags will be added in the coming weeks.

“Images are becoming forums for conversation and discovery that include sharing, touching, commenting, and remixing rich media content created by others,” said CEO Ulla Engeström. “ThingLink is now enabling a new kind of discovery experience on Facebook Timeline that evokes emotion and brings moments to life in ways that drive higher engagement.”

Example: Mèdecins Sans Frontiérs on Facebook Timeline via ThingLink: Think Big Online believes it will benefit the end user. There will now be newsfeed features for Yahoo. Companies will be able to use these new social media features to market products. The changes have not been implemented yet, but we should see them sometime in 2013. It will be interesting to see how these changes affect Yahoo.

CEO Marissa Mayer of Yahoo posted on Wednesday that in the future users will be able to log into Yahoo using their Facebook IDS. They will be able to share videos and articles with friends and family. Yahoo has many visitors, but the numbers have gone down over the past few years. The new Yahoo features will likely provide more sources for advertising.

In the next few days, these change will be made and there will also be a new mobile application. These changes follow ones that were made to Yahoo Mail which came out in December.

At this point, it cannot determine how much of an affect this relationship will have for Yahoo. However, it may be able to open up new revenue streams if the number of Yahoo viewers increases. These changes could propel Yahoo upward when it comes to viewers and clicks. If these changes can increase the amount of people using Yahoo, then increased revenue will follow.

It will be interesting to see how the integration of Yahoo with Facebook can be used to improve social media marketing. Companies can now use this relationship to market brands and services, which may benefit Yahoo in the end. Users will see how data is shared between Facebook and Yahoo and the advantages it offers to companies marketing their brands.

Facebook Introduces Feature for Facebook Admins to Promote Page

Internet

Ipod Touch
<guid

Samuel Junghenn, a Social Media and SEO consultant, says this should help small to medium sized businesses achieve a greater ROI for their advertising.

“One of the biggest problems I’ve heard from business owners is they’re spending lots of Facebook ads but not getting the like growth they need. The ability to “buy likes” from Facebook certainly fixes this problem and should see an increase in ad buying on the platform.” Said Mr Junghenn

Jon Loomer was the first user to spot this change and points out that this new feature allows him to pay for the goal of a like at an estimated amount of likes per day.

Loomer notes that once you select the ad unit Facebook automatically generates and ad for the like growth campaign and activates it in your account. This kind of automated advertising feature is designed improve ad spend within the network.

“Many businesses are doing their social media marketing there selves and this kind of feature makes it easier for them. I am glad to see this kind of feature implemented by Facebook.” Said Mr Junghenn.

Americans Prefer Their Apps Native, Not HTML5

Internet

Latest Gadget News

Native smartphone applications are more likely to result in loyalty and regular usage over HTML5, and one in five Americans will not consider switching mobile operating systems once they have spent $25 on apps. The findings were released today from BiTE interactive, the mobile application specialist for Fortune 1000 brands, which commissioned YouGov to poll the views of a representative sample of 1,127 American adults online.

According to the survey:

Two in every three iPhone (66 percent) and Android (63 percent) owners say it is important that the apps they download are native applications that can better make full use of all their smartphone’s capabilities;

Only one in five consumers (19 per cent) does not care if an app they are using is native or HTML5; and

Almost 7 out of 10 (69 percent) Americans with a smartphone use only 2-10 apps on a regular basis (once a week or more frequently);

“Smartphone homescreens across the country are littered with the tombstones of mediocre, try-once-and-forget apps,” said Joseph Farrell, EVP Operations, BiTE interactive. “Brands and developers too often lose sight of the most important aspects of developing mobile applications: build in-brand, powerful and highly usable apps that continually deliver real value to your users by solving the problem they have asked you to solve. Delivering continued, iterative and brilliantly executed solutions to those evolving problems should always be the primary objective.”

The research revealed that almost one in five Americans (19 percent) will not switch operating system once they have spent $25 on apps. iPhone owners are the most loyal to their apps investment; only 17 percent would be willing to switch to a different operating system – regardless of how much they’d spent – compared with 21 percent of Android owners.

The number and variety of apps available on a particular smartphone is an important factor for one in two Americans (49 percent) when deciding what model to buy. For both Android (69 per cent) and iPhone owners (72 per cent) the apps ecosystem around their smartphone is a key factor in their next handset choice as it is for two thirds of 18-34 year olds (67 percent).

Farrell added, “The app store has been a cornerstone of Apple and Android’s success, and their ability to engender loyalty among their user base. For Windows Phone and BlackBerry the easier route to gaining market share is not on persuading Apple or Android owners to switch, rather on capturing the next generation of feature-phone owners looking to upgrade. Even then, both Windows and BlackBerry must continue to build out their app store propositions, given that the quantity and quality of apps available is such an important factor in the smartphone purchase decision for every other American.”

Research methodology
BiTE interactive commissioned YouGov Plc to poll the views of a representative sample of 1127 US adults. Fieldwork was undertaken between 23-25 January 2013. The survey was carried out online. The figures have been weighted and are representative of all US adults (aged 18+).

Comment on Why Google is Changing by Industry Analyst Jeff Kagan

Internet

Latest Gadget News
<guid

However they must continue to change as well to stay on track. Google has begun a three-part transformation. Think of this as a spring-cleaning of sorts at Google. They took a hard look at the company, the industry and the direction of both and are making some significant changes.” Says tech analyst Jeff Kagan.

“One, its time for what may become a regular spring cleaning. They have gotten into so many different businesses, but only some of them are keepers. The rest are being closed. This thinning out process will become a regular event. More ideas tried. Some of them are successful and some are not.” Says Jeff Kagan.

“Two, management has grown and changed, but different parts of Google should now be under one roof and a different structure. So as the years pass, and as new opportunities emerge, we will see Google doing more of this management and segment rearrangement.” According to Kagan.

“Three is more of an industry-wide event. As the industry changes and redefines itself, Google wants to lead in new areas. They want to start in new segments and see if they are successful. This is the right kind of thinking from the Google perspective.” Says Kagan.

“So we should not look at these restructuring events as a sign of something wrong at Google. Instead I think this is simply a sign that the company wants to change in order to continue strong growth. So far, so good.” Says Jeff Kagan.

Customize the New YouTube Brand Channels with Clipster for YouTube

Internet

Latest Gadget News
<guid

If there is a match of intentions, TrintMe let both the friends know about their matched intention privately. If there is no match, nobody knows a thing. TrintMe acts as a intermediary between friends and helps users build true relationships and take friendships further without the fear of being rejected or spoiling a relationship. href="http://www.myhelixhouse.com/services/">Internet Marketing industry leader, has announced the release of their new Search Engine Optimization (SEO) LITE suite. The SEO LITE suite combines all the necessary aspects of a full scale SEO campaign, but scaled down to fit the wants and needs of small businesses. “Over that last 7 years we have analyzed the needs of our potential consumers carefully, and identified an under served area. We found that businesses in some of our smaller markets struggle to pay for full scale marketing, and up to this point their only option has been to move forward with a unprofessional firm. We feel that our new SEO LITE packages, with a price point starting at $199, will fill that void for these specific businesses,” stated Michael Donato, managing partner at Helix House.

This need, identified by the team at Helix House, has been statistically growing since 2007. With a rash of new small businesses and an increase in the cost of providing professional online marketing services, the industry has priced itself out of the small business market. This, in turn, has left the door open for un-reputable businesses to offer non-performing services at a low cost and see a large amount of initial consumer interest. Unfortunately, after just a few short months on these programs, clients quickly see that the firm they hired has no intention to deliver on their promises.

“We understand that it is tough running a small business. Our own firm was started out of a home with two owners, on a shoestring budget,” adds Alona Rudnitsky, co-founder of Helix House. “At that time if someone had asked us for thousands of investment dollars, even on a sure thing, we would not have had the ability to participate. Our new SEO LITE packages bridge the gap for our consumers, offering the production of a large Internet Marketing Firm with the customer service and attention of your local boutique shop.”

This new phase of Search Engine Optimization has truly revolutionized the options presented to small businesses. “It is a sad fact that we hear over and over again how these uncertified operations are only out to make a sale, and not truly interested in their client’s bottom line. As a firm, we wanted to change the game, give these small businesses an option that will truly work for them, and fit within their budget,” continues Michael. “Our LITE suite provides the same high quality of service and product that our consumers have come to know, but at a price point that can get them off the ground without breaking their budget.”

Being paired with a dedicated agent and learning more about these revolutionary packages can be achieved by calling <a
